adios, 2014
2014 was the learning year. painful lessons that lead to a lot of good.
28 weddings. and a billion portrait sessions.
I have come out of 2014 knowing exactly where my business is--who I want to work with, what I want to shoot, what my thaaang is. I feel confident and inspired and encouraged. I know who I am and I know where I want to go.
I am a wedding photographer. when given the time, light, and freedom
I will shoot the heck out of a wedding.
but I am not a machine. I do not shoot every wedding that comes my way.
quality over quantity. connection is everything.
a year of travel.
a year of adventure.
a year of stories.
a year of beautiful, kind people. people who opened their doors to us--
people who let us in and allowed us to be a part of their lives.
I know now that we are right where we are supposed to be.
all praise and glory to God for allowing us to tell stories.
and all my love and thanks goes to yall. for trusting me. running with me.
next year is going to be real good, yall. I will finally be offering mentorships in 2015--something I have been putting a lot of thought and prep into. we will also be traveling more. shooting more people in more cities. let's roll.
